In Loving Memory of Gil Coronado
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Colonel Gil Coronado on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was two weeks shy of 90 years of age.
My good friend Guillermo Castillo and I worked on this website with Col. Coronado’s approval to bring together some of his many achievements, as well as to promote his book.
Producing this website was an opportunity to record some of the many accomplishments of an outstanding American of Mexican heritage whose humble beginnings were a source of pride for all of us.
A final announcement will be made on its future in the months ahead.
